Your eyes will position themselves according to the thoughts that are in your head. By watching your eyes other people can often tell what you are thinking and if you are lying.

Professional Poker players know that your eyes can be a dead giveaway. Most professional players are very good at reading body language and are keen at reading them. They also tend to wear sunglasses, ball-caps and other accessories on their faces to hide their eyes.

The behavior of the eyes is fairly predictable, someone will make eye contact with you and during the conversation they take a moment to think. For this brief moment while they access information in their brain, and their eyes will move to a predictable position. Here are what the different positions mean:

- Eyes in the Upper Right (1st person upper-left) - When someone moves their eyes up and right it means that they are accessing the visual part of their memory. In this person's head they are visualizing objects, colors, movements, and other visual information that pertains to your conversation. If you want to see someone do this a good question to ask them is, "what color is your car?"

- Eyes to the Middle Right (1st person left) - Moving the eyes directly to the right is a sign that they are accessing the auditory part of their memory. The person could be remembering a song, the sound of a voice, or a particular noise. If you ask someone to think about the sound of their alarm clock they should look to the right.

- Eyes Down and Right (1st person down-left) - Someone that is talking to themselves or thinking about what they are about to say next will look down and to the right. Ask someone how a conversation went and they will look down and to the right.

- Eyes Up and Left (1st person up-right) - Looking up and to the left allows someone to access the visual part of their imagination. This person is constructing a picture in their head. If you ask someone to imagine a green sky with red clouds they should look up and to the left.

- Eyes to the Middle Left (1st person right) - A person looking directly to the left is constructing sounds in their head. They may be imagining what an unheard voice sounds like, or putting together a new melody. Ask someone to image the sound of a car horn underwater and they will likely look to the left.

- Eyes Down and Left (1st person down-right) - When thinking about their feelings someone will look down and left. Often when people say "I feel..." They will glance down and left, and you can know they are actually thinking about how they feel.

The small blind requires the player to put in less money than the big blind, but the blinds rotate to each player around the table at the end of each hand.

If you are going to continue to play your hand, then you must put in at least the amount of the big blind into the pot. If you want to put in more this is called a raise. Once you have done this, then all other players who want to continue to play their hands must put in the amount that you have raised to. If you feel that you do not have good cards, then you do not have to continue to play and you put no money in the pot. This process is called folding.

Once all players have decided if they are going to continue playing and have put in the proper amount into the pot, then the dealer puts three cards in the middle of the table face up. These cards are known as community cards and all players at the table use these cards to try to form the best hand. If you are holding a King in your hand and another King is now one of the community cards, then you have a pair of Kings.

After those three cards have been dealt, then another round of betting opens up. You follow the same procedures that you did in the opening round of betting only with the players that have not already folded. If all players but one fold, then there is no need to go any farther at that point. If that happens, then the one remaining player has won the pot.

These steps are followed through two more community cards played out one at a time unless all but one players folds. If at least two players play out all the way through all five community cards, then those remaining players are required to show their cards. The player with the best hand wins the pot at that point. The game plays on like this the same way for as long as the players have predetermined (amount of time or until one player has all the money/chips).

It goes without saying that once you are on a double, you must remain calm. Try and keep the same smooth action and follow through as normal in order to avoid snatching the dart. But before you even get to a double you need to put some thought into how you will finish.

Most darts players have their favourite doubles, which they practice and hit often. If you watch a professional game, you will see a certain player regularly leave the same double. It is important to try and leave a double you like and feel confident of hitting. The most common doubles players leave are 20 (double top) and 16. These are both even numbers which ensures if you hit the single part of the segment, you will have another double to aim at next dart. This eliminates the need to hit single numbers, thus giving you more darts and chances at a double. Double top is very popular because most players are already use to aiming at and hitting the twenty segment and therefore only need to raise their aim slightly while keeping the same line to hit the double.

The red bullseye in the centre of the board is worth 50 points and is the highest number you can checkout on with one dart. If you watch a professional darts player throwing,you will notice they will often use the bullseye at some point during their out shot. One instance is when they only have two darts left to throw and have a finish of more than sixty and their opponent is sitting on a possible out shot. For example if you need 67 and only have two darts left, you cannot hit a single number followed by a double as the finish is too high. You could of course go for a treble but if you miss there is no dart at a finish. One option is to go for the treble 17, if you hit it you then have one dart at double 8. However if you miss it but still hit the single 17, you can still throw a dart at the bull to win the leg. It is all about giving yourself the greatest opportunity to win the leg. The bullseye is also used a lot in the build up to a double, again to give you more chances to finish. For example you have 3 darts to throw and require 82, you can go for treble 14 and double top, but if you hit single 14 you would still need 68 with two darts. Most professional players in that situation would aim for the bull with their first dart. The reason is that if they hit it they have left double 16, however if they miss it but hit the green outer ring scoring 25, they are now left with a comfortable two dart finish of 57 (17 & double top). Practice aiming at the bullseye regularly, it will give you more chances to finish and win.

It is important that you learn the various three and two dart outshots required to finish. The more you play darts, these shots will become second nature to you. Once you become familiar with these checkouts you can then taylor your finishing to suit your game. In other words leave your favourite doubles, the ones you like and feel more confident hitting. Remember that aiming to finish on a high even number like 40 or 32 will leave potentially more darts at doubles and chances to win. If you practice the double top and double 16 routes often, it will add a real edge to your game.

Personal Core Values

Each of us has our own set of values. These are what determine which aspects of life we regard as important or beneficial. Our values help determine our tastes, our way of life, our entertainment, our social, political and religious interactions. Each of us holds many values and these values are liable to change as we grow, reach different stages of life or have different experiences or influences in life. Some of the values we hold may be 'superficial', transitory or fitting solely the moment in which we find ourselves. Other values are more fixed and may stay with us through our life; these are our 'core values'.

Our values come from a range of sources. Our parents are a key influence upon our values as we grow as children. So, too, is any church or religious background we experience. Our society, our neighbours, friends and colleagues, too, can have an influence upon our values. So, too, can our teachers and our schooling.

Often, school can be a place of conflict for it is there that we experience other values perhaps for the first time. Some of the values we experience in school can be in conflict with or contradict the values of our parents. As we go through high school, we start to experience values in ourselves and our peers that conflict both with school and our parents. Conflicting and unfixed values can be a major problem for adolescent and teenage years.

As we grow in years and experience, our values become more fixed, especially a set of 6 to 10 'core' values. It is these core values that determine what is really important to us as an individual. A good many people are leading lives unconnected with their core values. This can lead to a life of unhappiness, discontent and lack of fulfilment. Sometimes it can lead to conflict. For some people a conflict can arise within them because they are trying to live a life according to the values of a company, an organisation, a religious or political organisation, the values of their friends or colleagues or partner, rather than living a life according to their own core values. In doing this, the values of the other people or organisations are being met but the person's own values are being left unfulfilled.

This is not to say that a person is always wrong to seek to support and fulfil the values of other people or organisations. However, leaving your own values unfulfilled can lead to frustration and unhappiness. A key issue in this, though, is that the person may believe they are doing the right thing by working to the values of others and yet still feel a sense of frustration and unfulfilment; -the reason being that they may be unaware of their own values or, maybe, feel guilty of their own values where they conflict with the values of others.
So, if you feel your life is unfulfilled, unhappy, or maybe has too much conflict, then it could be that you are leading a life that does not accord with your core values. The question is; do you know your own personal core values?

Hiring a personal life coach can certainly help you to discover your personal values but for those who want to start the discovery for themselves, try answering the following question;

What, in life, is important to you?

Don't think about your answers (yes, there's likely to be more than one thing that's important to you), at least don't think about them at first. Just write down whatever comes into your head, no matter how strange, amusing or worrying they may seem. These first answers are probably your 'gut' or 'intuitive' answers; sometimes these are closer to the truth than answers that you 'think' about. Next, think about what is important in life for you. Take some time to consider your answers before writing them down in a word or short phrase. Don't worry if the some of the same answers appear in your first list; - just write them down again.

Now you have two lists. Take a look at them; is there anything there that surprises you or anything that worries you? Sometimes people can be quite surprised by what they write down and occasionally they may write down something that shocks them or they feel guilty about.

Quite common words that people put on their list of values include ; 'money', 'success', 'family', 'wife/husband/partner', 'growth', 'power'. If you find one, or more, of these words on your list, ask yourself another question;

What does (the word) mean for me?

So you may ask, 'what does money mean for me'. To which the answer could be; money means security, or money means success, or money means freedom, or money means being able to provide for my family.

By answering the second question you can help uncover the real or underlying value for you. So for you, money is not the real value, it is 'security' or 'being successful' or 'being independent' or 'being able to provide for my family' that is the real value.

So, by doing these simple exercises, you are beginning to discover your personal core values. The next exercise is to ask your self 'how do my life, my work and my relationships help fulfil my personal values?' Billy Baxter

Billy Baxter is among the greatest lowball Poker players to ever live. He started his gambling career like most did back in the early days, inside of a pool hall. It wasn't until 2002 that Baxter finally won a bracelet outside of lowball when he won the $1,500 Razz event. Of course, Razz is a lowball form of Stud. Max Shapiro wrote about Baxter, "Don't tug on Superman's cape and don't play in a low-draw game with Billy Baxter."

In addition to his 7 bracelets, Baxter has 9 other cashes in lowball style events at the WSOP. All but two are final table appearances and 2 are runner up finishes. His most recent cash in lowball was in the 2008 WSOP when he just missed the final table by 1 spot. Lowball is not the only game Baxter excels in. He is also an accomplished No Limit player. Amazingly, most of Baxter's NL prowess has developed later in life. In 2008 alone he won two NL events and final tabled two others. In total, Baxter has over $1.7 Million in tournament winnings. Odds are that this amount is much greater as most of the records before 2000 are sketchy at best outside of his World Series accomplishments. Baxter was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2006.

So what did the Act do? In spite of its name, it does not declare online gambling to be legal. Instead, it made it illegal for financial institutions in the US to allow the use of electronic fund transfers and credit or debit cards in connection with online gambling. So players can no longer make bets or collect winnings through these methods. Of course, most US banks and credit card companies already denied the use of their cards on online gambling sites. Foundations - What You Need to Know

Trench fill refers to a technique used to fill up deep foundations trenches. What happens is this, you go to site and dig out for your foundations, but you end up about 1600 or perhaps even 2000mm below ground level. Well obviously you don't want to fill all of that depth with good strong foundation concrete, so you order a weak concrete mix from your ready mix company and pour that into the trench until you reach the depth at which you propose to lay your foundation concrete.The trench fill needs to be only as strong as a good supporting soil, to provide a suitable base for the strip foundation.

Strip Foundation.

A strip foundation is the simplest form of house foundation. It consists of a Gen 1 grade concrete laid to a width of 650m wide and usually to a depth of 350mm, with reinforced steel to either top or bottom of the foundation or in some cases both. It is preferable to have an engineer design the foundation for you, and provide you with dimensions prior to starting. Strip foundations are being replaced with wide strip foundations and are now relegated to supporting internal walls within the dwelling.

Wide Strip Foundations.

Wide strip foundations are similar to ordinary strip foundations except that they are wider. They are made wider in order to spread the load over more area of soil. The wide strip foundation is usually used in poorer bearing soil conditions.Wide strip foundations are usually 1 m wide x 450 mm deep, with reinforced steel to either top or bottom of the foundation or in some cases both, although an engineer can specify other dimensions depending on ground conditions and the load being imposed onto the foundations.

Raft Foundations.

Basically this is a slab of concrete laid over the base of the house with reinforced steel supporting the concrete. While the raft foundation is still used it is slowly going out of fashion, as there is a tendency for the raft to tilt in very poor soil conditions.

Piled Foundations.

As good quality sites become scarce, the poor weak soils that previously had been unexploited are now being built on. Weak or fluid soils or soils that contain a large proportion of compressible elements are prime candidates for piling.A pile is simply a square length of concrete with four reinforced steel bars running through it.

The pile is normally 350mm square depending on engineers specs and can be anything in length from 4m to 12m.The engineer specifies how many piles are required to support the house and where they need to be placed. This is normally at junctions and intersections within the house.Simple piles are driven into the ground using a ram. They are pounded down until they refuse. That is they won't go down any further.

Once all the piles are driven in the tops are cut off leaving only enough to steel exposed to tie into the beams. Next a mud-mat or 50mm layer of concrete is laid over the site. Then the line of the house is marked out as well as all internal load-bearing walls. Then a small retaining wall is built to either side of the piles in order to form a trench within which the foundations can be poured.

Once the block work has been completed, reinforced steel is placed into the area where the concrete will be poured and as per engineers designs is laid and tied to form a steel cage that forms the basis for the foundations. These are tied into the top of the piles. Once the steel has been laid, fitted and tied the concrete is then poured in the same manner as you would pour a strip or wide strip foundation.The concrete is agitated using a Poker in order to get all excess air bubbles out of the foundation.

All you have to do now is wait until the concrete hardens and you can start building your house. Normally with piled foundations you use pre-stressed slabbed floors. This is a very safe and fast method of building.
